Journal Entry
It has been a busy week. I have been doing some training for Antartica, here at the University of Wisconsin River Falls. I have learned a bit about neutron detectors. One important thing is that they have a 200 pound lead shield at the end and I might have to move a few of them (last year had to do ten tons worth!!) I also got a chance to hang out with some terrific Upward Bound students and build some robots ...
Behold your future overboard and tremble! (Just kidding) I am amazed at how much the kids got these things to do. Follow each other, seek light, blink in morse code... AMAZING!... and try out some 3d printing.
(I made mine yellow!) Resistor in the foreground for scale.
