3 November 2012 I'm In New Zealand

This will be a quick entry. I've arrived in Christchurch,New Zealand after a 15 hour plane ride from Los Angeles, California to Sydney, Australia, then another 3 hours to Christchurch, New Zealand. All together yesterday and today I spent about 30 hours on planes or in airports. It's good to be on the ground for a day or two.

Tomorrow I go to the US Antarctic Programs equipment warehouse to get gear. That should be another new an exciting event to write about. Until then, I'm going to find some dinner and possibly sleep in a horizontal position rather than sitting up in an airplane seat. More to come.

By the way, I left Charlotte on the 1st of November and today is the 3rd. What happened to the second?
