Journal Entry
Laughing
I decided to put together a "Year in Review" journal as it has been quite the ride! So many exciting things have happened, with my upcoming adventure topping the list.
Now here's an all call to my students. Take out your reflective journals. After going through this entry, reflect on the following questions. 1) What did you learn about me? In other words, what insights did you gain? 2) Did you learn anything new? Explain. 3) Is it possible to learn about someone without having a conversation with them? Explain your answer. An extension activity will be coming! (Stop the moaning and groaning...LOL...it'll be fun!)
Pre game shoot around Look to the lower right...I ended up sitting just beyond the man in the red sweatshirt!!! Reach out and touch someone! This was the day to play! Started with cross country skiing...ended with snowshoeing. It looks calm and serene, but Owasee Falls await! Not to be confused with Jon and Kate Gosselin. These are way cuter and far less annoying! This mating pair of Mergansers are enjoying a spring float down Pine Creek. A 5 foot Black Rat Snake--a beauty! If this guy had uncoiled and struck, he would've definitely scared me silly! This was EXCITING!!! She was about 3.5-4 ft. long and wasn't nearly as ornery as the one we spotted a few feet away. This makes a very distinctive sound....but did you know that 80% of adult bites are dry?? I'm speaking of rattlers in PA/NY. The Eastern Tiger Swallowtail is making the rounds, enjoying the smorgasboard of wild flowers around After discovering where the bleating was coming from, I jumped in for the rescue. This newborn fawn finally sleeps after being pulled out of the hole and carried for a mile until I got someone on the phone who could help. Bumblebee enjoying chive flowers....the flowers look pretty but smell like garlic! We never have hail this big here! This stormy afternoon resulted in graduation being held inside. Maybe I should write a song about it....hmmm.... What is this? We never have hail this big here! This stormy afternoon resulted in graduation being held inside. Fire breathing, water soaking 18th hole catch Kaleigh and Ian off guard The colors in the CO sky were spectacular this last evening before I flew home Pack, unpack, pack, unpack...to be repeated again and again...and again What say you??? Amber waves of grain at Tomion's on Penn Yan, NY Hollywood Legend Hal Holbrook at Elmira College This bunny is very fortunate. She survived being in the jaws of a cat! (Not mine)Love the colors, smells and crispness in the air
