So what is life really like in Alaska? This is what I wondered when I woke up this morning and looked out of the window at the dark sky and white ground. So far I can’t really say. For me, the majority of the past two days have been inside in meetings. I have been learning so much that my head is starting to spin. The things I am learning are not only important to my up and coming adventure as a PolarTREC teacher, but great for my own personal growth and also wonderful tools that I can share with co teachers and students.
I have met so many wonderful people. There are more than 12 other teachers here from all across the country. They are all extraordinary people and I have loved sharing with them.
The ARCUS folks are great too. They are the ones who are in orchestrating all of the PolarTREC events. I am learning how to use ICHAT. Dani C. you will be happy about this because now you don’t have to teach me.
We are going to eat Thai food tonight. We get to walk – YEAH OUTSIDE TIME. But then the real fun comes! We get to go to the Ice Carving Competition – Yippie. I don’t care how tired I am – I’ m going!
