Lauren is still celebrating her birthday. Last night she and her roommate Renee had a party at their hut. It was fun and went on to the wee hours of the morning – so I am told.

Racoon EyesSergio Vargas from UTEP (University of Texas in El Paso) and Paulo Olivas from FIU (Florida International University both have racoon eyes from life in the sunny field! I hear this will get a lot more intense and also that hands will be tanned too! They are enjoying a Saturday night Party!

It didn’t get rolling to 10:30pm. I remember those college days, when that life style felt easy. Now it is a little harder for me. Last night was different though. I believe it is one of the first times that sunshine really messed with my head.

It had been gray, cool and cloudy all day. So it would’ve been perfect weather to go to bed to. At around 9:00pm the sun came out it is was bright and beautiful! My mind went nuts. It was hard to convince myself that it wasn’t noon!

It even seemed strange to be at a "night time” party with the sun beaming in the window.

I went outside for a spell and noticed across the street, near the beach, that someone had put up a cross where the little boy Leo had died. I thought that it was sad yet interesting, because we have this tradition in the lower 49 too.

Paying RespectsThe little boy who died from an ATV accident was named Leo. He was 12. After the cross arrived many people stopped to pay respects

Today was BEAUTIFUL! The sun was out all day. I took myself on a little outing. I took the 4 wheeler to eat breakfast at Osaka’s the Japanese Restaurant – nothing fancy or Japanese, but very good – soft poached eggs adn hash browns. Then I drove around and explored. I found some new birds and lots of new flowers. The perfect morning!

Ice CrashSome area's are taking longer to melt than others and I am glad fo r that. The wind blows and the ice sheets move, crashing into one another. Spectacular Art!

I found my favorite spot in Barrow and now I know the place that I want to show my husband Rob. He will be here in less than one week! Wow and Yippee!

Walking Along the BeachI think I just found my favorite place in Barrow! Breath Taking! This little park/trail is located in the west part of town

I went on a short outing with a group purchasing souvenirs. (I am waiting for Rob to shop)

I taught a yoga class in the afternoon.

Now I write… but I am going to get going… because Santunu Goswami is cooking Indian food. He goes to school at UTEP (University of Texas in El Paso), but is from India.

YUMMY! He wants to have some hang out social time – family time! Sweet Idea.
