Journal Entry
Blue Vue underwater cameraThis is the camera we will be using. It can go upto 1,000ft underwater. It is equipped with its own lighting. Thanks again to Walt Ahland and LCA for the support to our project!

Today is the big day - we plan to launch the Fish Spy. This journal is going to be very short as I will be starting my 12 hour fishing shift soon. When we go on the fishing trips we fish around the clock. We divide into two teams - one fishes from Midnight til Noon. The other team works from Noon to Midnight. I want to give a special recognition and public thanks to Walt Ahland and Lights, Camera, Action. LCA sells underwater cameras, lights, and more. Walt made a very generous contribution to our project - the camera! I have been working with Walt and LCA for a number of years through my Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV) club at school. We've gotten supplies from them and equally important, Walt has always been there to field our many questions. That's where we got our cable reel and 1,000ft. of camera cable. You can check out their stuff at the website - http://www.lights-camera-action.net/

As some of you may know from my last expedition, we find all kinds of amazing and beautiful sea animals in the nets. I'll be sure to get some pictures for you. Until then wish us luck in hopefully catching a glimpse of our beloved icefish in depths!

Camera cable reel for the Fish SpyThis reel holds 1,000ft. of cable so that we can deploy our camera deep enough to hopefully catch sight of some icefish in their natural habitat.
