Today I am dedicating this journal to the underwater Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV team at my high school - the Lindblom Sea Eagles. They have a regional competition this Saturday at University of Illinois - Chicago. It's sponsored by Shedd Aquarium and Marine Advanced Technology Education (MATE).
Here is the Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV) and control box that is aboard the Laurence M Gould. I think I'm going to need some help getting out of here. Can anyone hear me??In honor of the awesome members and Mr. Long, of course, Take a look at these two videos. The first is self explanatory. A good luck cheer! http://
The second is a short video I took while on the Laurence M. Gould ship. It's a little bit of footage of the ROV they have on the ship. It is small and used to inspect the hull. Kevin, who is one of the IT personnel on the ship gives us a little tour of it. Sooooo - I'm sending you a gust of good luck from the Antarctic. Not that you need luck, I have full confidence in each of you. http://
