  • First aid kit (hope I never need to use it).
  • Bug hat (decided to leave it behind... hope I wont' need it).

  • Rubber Boots for squishing through the tundra.
  • Carhartts (tough work pants every girl needs - I feel like a real Alaskan now!).
  • Enough Socks and Underwear to get me through at least two weeks of field work without a laundry!
  • Good rain gear.
  • Lots of layers – wool long underwear, fleece and a NEW PINK Patagonia down jacket (THANKS Mom).

  • Wool hat and gloves.
  • Eye mask for sleeping through the midnight sun.
  • Ear plugs for sleeping through the 40 mush dogs that live next to our cabin.
  • Water proof hiking boots.
  • Field guide to Denali wildflowers.
  • Binoculars and bird book.
  • Camera.
  • Field note book.
  • Science Equipment (CO2, soil moisture, temp, and conductivity probes, Brock Microscope).
