We drove out of the Rockies, past the Icefields, located in Jasper National Park, down through Robson Valley, the centre of B.C., and then camped at Yellowhead Lake Provincial Park.

We picked up a book to help us find FREE camping in B.C., which has already earned its worth. Using this book, we drove to Smithers and found Denis Lake, located up 18 miles of mountain road in a secluded forest, populated only with abundant hiking trails, a bald eagle, three loons and two moose.
