We finally hit a day when other things besides science just had to be done. Rosvel was leaving today and had to be at the Fairbanks airport this afternoon. We needed to get some building supplies for the experiments and some tools to get the work done. We also needed to take our recyclables and turn them in because our bins were getting pretty full. All of this on top of picking up some dog food, eight large bags for Mike and Corine, stopping by the University of Alaska at Fairbanks to weigh some of the soda lime bottles, and turning our truck in for inspection.
The University of Alaska at Fairbanks is where Dr. Natali has one of her labs and some of her equipment. I weighed sodalime jars for Dr. Natali with the electronic balance in her lab.But the best part about today was that it was the day that we got to take showers and wash our clothes!! Now this is the third shower I have had since I left, so one a week isn't so bad. But this was the first time we got to do some laundry since we started in April. And it felt great!!
And if that wasn't enough fun for one day, we got to go to the Fred Meyer store in Fairbanks and do some food shopping for the next couple of weeks. Life just doesn't get any better then clean hair, a clean shirt, and some fresh food to eat!
I get to eat nothing but chips for the whole two weeks! NOT!I even saw something that is pretty special to all of us at Talbert. What do you think that is at the top of this Totem Pole?
This Totem Pole stands next to the Museum of the North. What is that at the in the top position? It was a good day. It has been a very long day and it is pretty late now. Thank you all for following along. Be safe and enjoy your days!
