It was a beautiful day today and we seemed to be caught up on most everything that can be done right now. We are planning on a trip to Fairbanks tomorrow for supplies, so that we can complete some tasks here, and to go shopping for food.
So today we had some visitors who were going to Denali National Park and invited us to come along, we did go along! It was a great day with mostly clear skies and clear roads. We saw a bunch of great things today, but one of the most interesting things we did today was to visit the Murie Science and Learning Center. It is full of things to look at and read and touch. Including a collection of skulls and bones from some of the more common animals in the park.
I thought it might be fun and educational to look at some of these skulls and see if you can guess what kind of animals they belong to. This is not a quiz or anything. This is just to get your brains moving and to see how well you can make an observation and put together an idea from it. All of you can write to me with your answers and I will make a note of who are the first 5 students with the correct answers. A friendly competition! Enjoy, and if I get enough guesses, I will post the answers soon.
This is an easy one to start with. Look at the antlers! This one is pretty easy. Look at the teeth. This is a bird, but what kind? This is also a bird. Look at the eyes. This is tricky. What ever you're thinking , think smaller. This is the bonus. It's what you first think it is.
