When you look at Biscuit you may have to look twice because she looks alot like her brother. Biscuit is my pick this week because she is one of my favorites. She is the sister to Sky, who are both part of the puppy liter that was born to Jade and Spotlight three year ago. Biscuit looks like Sky so much to me that I had to find something on one of them to tell them apart. If you look at Biscuit's head, the white patch in the middle is smaller than the one on Sky.

BiscuitBiscuit is a good smart dog that will be in the lead next year.

It was a very sunny and warm day during our walk. We took the east trail today and got a wonderful view of the country on that side. Five dogs came today, including Spunky. She has not been feeling well for the last week. We think she got a hold of something that has made her feel bad. She is getting better, but she stayed by us for most of the walk.

Biscuit and friendBiscuit gets along with all the other dogs.

Biscuit is very friendly and will take the time to listen to you, even if you don't have a treat! She will come when you call and Corine makes her sit before she gives out the rewards. Biscuit has been pulling sleds for about a year now and has done a good job of learning what it takes to be a lead. She listens very well and wants to do her best. Next season she will get her chance because Corine is planning to start her in the front and hopefully use her to begin teaching the new dogs.

Dog tagAnyone up for a game of tag? You're it!

As usual the dogs pretty much never slowed down all through the walk. We walk, they don't! We probably walked a mile and the dogs covered five times that distance. They get warm easily on a day like this so they stop often at a puddle of water for a quick drink. There is no snow to eat now.

Dog treatsAfter the walk it's time for a treat!

By the time we returned to the house everybody was ready for more treats. As Corine found the right number of snacks to hand out, the dogs all gathered round the shed hoping that she would drop an extra one their way. No such luck!
