Standing in front of the ice sheetI am standing in front of the ice sheet.

From a distance Kangerlussuaq may seem plain and sand filled, but if you take the time to really look, you can see the beauty that this place holds.

Every morning I get the privilege of seeing this on the way to a site. Not a bad commute...

The flowers around "Kanger" may not be as bright as what we are use to, but they are still beautiful.

Of course, the ice sheet is just plain impressive and provides so many fantastic views.

For dinner this night we had quinoa and beans. We added some jalapeƱos, cheese, and salsa on top. Yum!

What awesome pictures, Emily, especially the one outside of your "office window". I thought the pics of all the rhodo blooming were neat...they grow up to 20 feet high here in the Southern Appalachians!!What a beautiful place you have been working in!
