Finally, photos! After four days of trying different settings, communicating with Fairbanks and with Jerome and his French computer skills the pictures are finally going through. It took Rachael, who has done research in the Aleutian Islands and in Antarctica on Penguins, to recognize that the files were too large for the satellite phone to send them. They have now been further reduced so that it is almost guaranteed that you will now see some of the beauty and extreme harshness where these Little auks call home.
