I Love Girl Scouts!
I had a such a great time with the Girl Scouts! We learned about the Arctic, the upcoming research and why it is important to save energy and the polar bear habitat! Kudos to all of the girls, girl-helpers, adults and Girl Scout staff for making it such a successful day. It was fun, fun, fun! (I'm sure that you can tell from the pictures.) There were so many wonderful pictures. In order to include as many as possible, I put most of them into the video below. Thank you girls and stay in Girl Scouts! Photos courtesy of Michelle Ross.

I'm a Girl Scout too! Older girls analyzed core samples. Younger girls were polar bears looking for ice floes in a shrinking habitat. Trying on extreme cold weather gear. Making postcards to mail back from the northernmost post office in the world. Making blubber gloves. Testing the blubber gloves in ice water. So this is how seals stay warm! A polar sundae! Look for the glacier, icebergs and polar bears! A postcard from Svalbard..be
