Are you an aviation enthusiast? I am. I love flying and got my pilot license in 2006 so I was very excited to visit the Anchorage Aviation Museum. While exploring the museum I learned about a very famous airplane crash in Barrow, Alaska. Will Rogers and Wiley Post were killed on August 15, 1935 in an airplane crash 15 miles south of point barrow.

There was a picture of a memorial to the fallen aviators in the Anchorage museum. I hope to see the memorial when I am up in Barrow. Keep an eye out for my future post on this piece of aviation history.
