Journal Entry

Today I headed to Barrow Alaska to begin my PolarTREC expedition. I was very excited as I headed to the Anchorage airport and boarded my Alaska Airlines flight.the take off was smooth as we headed north for a quick layover at Prudhoe Bay. It was overcast skies as we left the bay for Barrow. I was thrilled to be getting my first look at Barrow as we began to dip down through the clouds. The video below detailed what happened as I approached Barrow for the first time.

So close! Guess you cannot risk hitting a moose! Good luck tomorrow. Can they just open the hatch and you tuck and roll?
