Journal Entry

Today at orientation we mostly focused on travel logistics and cold weather gear. After lunch we got to practice using satellite phones and later went out to the CH2M HILL Polar Services warehouse. Robbie Score and her team gave us an excellent overview of clothing and packing for the polar regions.

Can’t be prouder of you, your knowledge and willingness to share and communicate. I am sure that when you get back (to a much warmer environment) we will have fun hearing about your out and about on the “frosty “state.
The students are asking about you, and when you'll be back. So please take lots of photos and videos.

That is wonderful, Gretchen. And I also thank you for your unconditional support. Not everyone get the kind of backing you have provided, and I have told the people here all the great things that we have been doing for STEM education in Juncos, Puerto Rico.
I will be back early next week, and I am glad that students are so excited. I will be sharing everything with them and, yes, there are lots of pictures and videos. Thanks again, and I absolutely appreciate you taking the time to post here.
