Merry Christmas Eve!
We had our Christmas celebration tonight! The kitchen staff outdid themselves! Everything was beautiful and delicious. When I first walked into the galley, I was a little sad to not be spending Christmas with my family, but once I sat down and started talking to everyone I felt much better. I realized I'm not the only one here without their family, and together, we make up our own little South Pole family.

I don't have much more to say today, except that my heart is very full. My time at the South Pole is almost up, so I'm taking it in as much as I can.
