When I go to the South Pole, it's going to be pretty cold (about -20 degrees F) so I'm going to need to wear some special gear. Since I live in South Carolina, the warmest clothes I own are sweatpants and sweatshirts. That's not going to cut it at the South Pole.

When I go on my expedition, I'll be stopping in New Zealand where I'll get my extreme cold weather (ECW) gear. But, right now, I've borrowed an ECW kit from ARCUS so I could see what I'd be getting and so I could show it to my students.

Here's what it looks like:

It's getting really warm and I don't even have the jacket on yet! Wearing all the gearBoo! With all the gear on, you can't even tell who's in there.
