My name is Camilla Guldager. I’m 20 years old, and I come from Ilulissat (Jakobshavn). I have a little brother and my parents live together back in Ilulissat. My dad’s a carpenter and my mom’s a schoolteacher.
I haven’t had the best interest to science since as a kid but now I have a big interest in science since the last 2 years. And I will learn about it some more. That’s why I want to go to this summer school and meet new friends.
I started gymnasium in 2012 and I study mathematics in high level. Physics and chemistry in medium level but geography in low level.
In my spare time I just spend my day to do my studies, cross-country skiing, work out and run, in summer I just spend most of the time with my family in our cabin and travelling across the “discobugt” with our boat. And in the winter when I have vacation in Ilulissat I drive dog sledge sometimes alone and sometimes with my dad.
I can’t wait to meet other students and teachers in summer school and I’m looking forward to it.
Cecilie Jensen is a student at Avannaani ilinniarnertuunngorniarfik (GU-Aasiaat).
My name is Cecilie Jensen, and I am 17 years old. This is my second year at Avannaani ilinniarnertuunngorniarfik (GU-Aasiaat). My hometown is Ilulissat and I grew up there.
I like to hang out with my friends and family, and I really like being in nature, that is just relaxing! I am really excited to go to the summer school, and I heard some stories and I think that we are gonna have a good time!
I am so lucky to get picked to go to the summer school! But it is more exciting, that I have to meet you, and it is not often I meet other young people from abroad. I look forward to meet you all!
Andreas Knudsen is another student from Aasiaat school.
Hi, my name is Andreas Knudsen. I’m 29 years old. I live in Ilulissat. My school is located in Aasiaat.
There is so much I like about nature, and it’s so relaxing. I am so lucky that I’m going to the science field school.
In 2012 summer, I began at GU Aasiaat. I study mathematics, chemistry and biology. I have always wondered how it is to work with real scientists. Even though I live in Greenland, I know not much about this. We are going to study in KSFS, so it is very interesting to me. =)
When I’m not studying or attending at school, I spend my time on making some music using PC, reading and editing pictures that I took with my camera. And I fix computers for free when students ask me if I can fix PCs.
I’m looking forward to meet the scientists and the other students at the summer school. I think that this science field school is going to be a memorable experience, and I am looking forward to it. =)
