The sun was shining brightly this morning, so I made the first dive in order to take some underwater pictures of Hal, the shade screens, and an experiment that had been set out several years ago. The algae is quite interesting to look at; it makes amazing patterns!

After the "photo shoot," we started bringing some of the supplies we are finished with back to the camp. We had some empty 55-gallon fuel drums and a hurdy gurdy that we no longer needed at the dive hole. Those are now secured back at camp!
We shuttled the light array out to the dive hole. The array consists of three 75 cm X 75 cm frames with bars going across the frame which contain lights. These will be deployed on Saturday morning (tomorrow!) and will be the final part of the model testing experiment.
Ian then dove and collected some mat samples, some water samples, and repositioned the probe on Hal. All is good!
