G-063 has safely returned to McMurdo Station. We've spent the past few days cleaning gear and returning equipment to various places around the station. We've also been preparing our samples to be sent back to California for analysis at U.C. Davis. They will be boxed up, frozen, and sent via cargo ship to California, where they will arrive sometime around April.

I've also had a chance to put together this short video about how our sediment traps work. We are proud of the fact that we got them to work so well, and to see them "fly right" was a really rewarding experience!

Thanks for another fantastic, informative video. So great to see how the sediment traps came together and to hear that their placement was a success! Hope you are enjoying some nice showers and some of your favorite snacks now that you are back at McMurdo. Best wishes for safe travels and very happy holidays!
