While in Moscow I visited quite a few of the points of interest in the downtown area. I found that although the architecture of the buildings was quite different in Russia's capital city, there were some similarities to what the building stood for in Washington D.C, America's capital city.

In America we have memorials to our military and fallen soldiers…

America has a large and beautiful building where the government leaders make decisions about laws and other concerns for our country.

The Capitol BuildingThe Capitol Building is where our country's leaders make laws to govern our nation. The Russian State HouseAt one end of Red Square stands the Russian State House.

This is the state house at one end of Red Square.

Patriotism is alive and well in both our countries; Russians flock to see their capital just as American's do. And when you stop to ask them to take your picture in front of their buildings and monuments, they are very eager to help you.
