Day three of polar training was a nice break from the conference room. The group had a chance to get out and see some of what Fairbanks has to offer. The trip was primarily to the University of Alaska Fairbanks Museum.

Along with this there is a temporary exhibit that explains the process of hibernation and the role it plays in the survival of those mammals that use this strategy to make it through the long winters present in many parts of the world.
