Well I can’t believe the summer Scavenger Hunt series is coming to an end – where has the time gone? We’ve had a successful series of events - Tremendous thanks to all those who participated!
But, we still have one more summer fling before the school year activities begin! Our good friends at the Memphis Public Library and Information Center are helping us end our summer Scavenger Hunt series with a bang – or I should say a book.
Join these branches in the Polar Literacy - Back to School - Program.
- Benjamin L. Hooks Central
- Cordova
- Frayser
- South
- Poplar-White Station
But, you don’t have to limit yourself to only these branches – other libraries have books on these topics as well and you may have some of your own.
From now until the beginning of September these branches will be promoting the program – So let’s go read!
Here’s how:
Read any book you’d like. The only rule is… it has to relate to the Polar Regions. So, it can be about animals who live in the Arctic or Antarctic regions, people who explored the Polar Regions or live in the Arctic, scientist who work there etc.
Point system
The point system for this hunt is easy – you will get 5 points for every book you read and 5 bonus points if you send me a picture of you reading your book.
