Arctic Steel Beach Picnic

Tonight, the Deck Crew hosted the weekly “Morale dinner”. This happens once a week to help keep the spirits of the crew up – remember, they have been at sea since May! This gives a change of pace and something to look forward to – and yeah, the cooks get the night off! It was fantastic! They had a big grill set up on the fantail and grilled hamburgers, brats and portabello mushrooms, potato salad, macaroni salad, soda and ice cream. We ate in the hangar out of the weather!

Sodas and ice cream were kept chilled in the snow.

Zach, one of the cooks who had the night off, played DJ and kept the music pumping.
