Wow! Love the journal about food. So, amazing to see the quantities of food in one place! I wonder if the other stations handle food in similar fashion? Anyway, it's just amazing.

Hi Janet,This has a bit of a complicated answer. My food stores are for field
camps and science groups going out on the sea ice, like Mike's group.
South Pole doesn't have field food available, since people stay at the
station to work. Palmer Station has a small store for people who leave
for more than a day. The New Zealand and Australian stations provide
field food in large, pre-packed boxes, for 3-people for 7-days, so the
variety is very limited. I don't know how other countries' Antarctic
stations provide field food for their people.
