Great journals on the modes of transportation in Antarctica! I have loved reading them! Can't wait to see pictures of you and the team out on the sea ice!

What kinds of fuel do the vehicles use and where does it come from?

Thanks, Alli.The vehicles' fuel varies depending on what vehicle we're discussing.
Most either use regular unleaded gasoline or diesel. The vans, trucks,
and Mat-Tracks all use unleaded gasoline. Our Pisten Bully runs on
diesel, as do many of the track vehicles.
However, it is interesting to note that there are a couple of small
trucks that are 100% electric. I have seen them around town, but I
haven't rode in one yet. Tony says that they're part of a pilot project
and they're okay, but there are still some kinks to figure out.
