Hello Mr.League. I am Kyla from your C period science. Mr.Colombo is a fun teacher, but I can't wait till you get back. I was wondering how many polar bears have you encountered. Also I seen all the food you guys had in storage, I was wondering how much do you eat a day.

Hi Kyla!Thanks! I miss you guys too. I'm looking forward to returning to
Millsboro Middle and it won't be that long now.
No polar bears here in Antarctica - they live in the Arctic (North
Pole). That's why I always laugh at those Coca-Cola commercials that
have polar bears and penguins together. That doesn't happen in the real
world! They live on opposite ends of the globe!
As for food, I eat a lot more here than I do at home in Delaware. I
have three big meals every day. At both lunch and dinner, I have a big
dessert. I always have a cup of hot chocolate after every meal as well.
I would guess I eat 4,000 calories or more a day. The cool part is
that I haven't gained any weight since being here. My body is
converting all those calories to heat, to try and keep me warm.
Thanks for the questions! See you soon!
Mike

Hi Megan,Very soon actually. Mr. Colombo and I have been working hard to figure
out when/how to make that happen. We are hoping to video chat with each
class next week.
As for the diving equipment, there is a lot. Here's a brief list.
* thermal layers (3)
* drysuit
* weight belt
* tank and regulator
* hoods
* mask
* gloves (3 sets)
In addition, there is gear to carry: lights, buckets, collection bags,
cameras.
All in all, it can be tiring just moving the equipment around before the
dive!
I hope to chat with you soon!
Mike
