Hi my name is Jonathan from St.Mark school I have a question for you. How far do you go of the shore and when you dive how far down do you?

Hey Jonathan,Great questions. Our dive huts are out on the sea ice, so we have a
solid surface to work on. But we are a little ways from land. Some
places we are 50 feet away or even more.
Today we dove at a dive site that is 25 feet from the land. Right
underneath the dive hole, there is forty feet of water. But the bottom
is very steep. So a short swim away from the land, takes you down-slope
quickly. My deepest depth today was just over 100 feet deep.
We never dive deeper than 130 feet, and we usually change depths
throughout the dive. I would say the average dive is between 40 and 80
feet deep.
Thanks for the great questions! Keep them coming!
Mike
