Your postings on vehicles has been fascinating! So my question is this, in Antarctic summer are there restrictions in terms of ice thickness on where the different vehicles may go ? Thanks! Anne Marie

Anne Marie,Thanks. Each vehicle requires a certain amount of ice in order to be
safe to drive on. It varies based on the vehicles weight and how much
of an area that weight is spread over. For example, the USAP recommends
that our Pisten Bully requires 36" of ice. That's three feet!
Luckily, most places we want to go have six feet of ice or more right
now. But you're right, when summer arrives and the ice begins to melt
that all changes.
Thanks for following along.
