Clarissa, Great question! I don't know everything there is to know about
Capitella, but we can start with a simple one. Where do these worms
live? The worms in your backyard live in the soil and must be on land.
In fact, they don't like being underwater. Have you ever noticed how
they come to the surface when it rains? Capitella, the marine worm we
are studying, lives underwater only. I wonder what special features
they might have to allow them to survive there. Can you think of any?
