Danielle,To be honest, I do get tired of the traveling. But at the same time I feel like I'm learning a tremendous amount. I've always been a sort of a "big picture" person, and I feel like the traveling I'm doing s allowing me to get a better view of the "big picture" of the world. So I have found that very rewarding.
As far as my favorite part ... for me it might be learning something completely new to me. I've spent a lot of time working in astronomy, so getting exposed to polar research and researchers has made me a more well rounded scientist who happens to enjoy teaching. I know know a lot more about what we know and don't know about the polar regions and I feel like it is something I can discuss with more confidence.
