First, it sounds like a really unique experience.  I especially like the part about picking fresh blueberries and making blueberry pancakes.  I'm glad to hear you're taking advantage of the travel inconsistencies.  It sounds like it's difficult to get to or from these lakes, since the weather is sometimes unsafe for flying.  I was wondering how often people visit these lakes?  Are they completely islolated or do people visit them occasionally?  Thanks!

Hi Nikki, thanks for writing and have a great last couple weeks in Spain! I noticed your question deals with what you are studying about, transportation. Very few if any other people go to any of these lakes. That's why we rely on the float planes; there are no roads to them. Maybe a hunter or two visit some of them once a year or so, by float plane as well. We have seen no evidence of humans. Tomorrow we head to Valdez by truck and the float plane to our third lake, Allison. Mom
