Mrs. Foletta:  Welcome to Alaska!  I am a KHS graduate (1986) and former student of yours currently living in Southcentral Alaska (since 1996).  I often look at the local newspaper (Kingsburg Recorder) online to keep up with Kingsburg events.  I found the story of your research project fascinating.  It will be interesting to follow your progress and read your journal entries.  The project description indicates you will be in the Kenai Peninsula area - a beautiful area with lots of diversity - you will love it! I hope you are enjoying Alaska so far and that your project and adventures are productive and memorable.

Hi Sonja!  So good to hear from you!  I did not know you lived in Alaska!  I have enjoyed my week of vacation in the Anchorage area.  You must enjoy life in the north since you have remained here for 11 years.  I'm excited to be here and look forward to communcate with interested people about what the team is doing.  I have now met with my team and we are preparing for the field.  I'm glad you tuned in!  I'm working on catching up on my journaling today as it will be tougher to do in the field.  Please stay tuned!
