Why do yall need explosives in Antartica?Undecided

Good morning Ashley. We are using explosives to set off small charges and send out seismic waves. We can then use georods, little sensors to detect the waves return after it hits the subsurface and bounces back. This gives us a good idea of what the topography is below the ice and how thick the ice is. Excellent question, and you'll be hearing more about this in future journals once we start drilling and taking measurements.~Gillette
