So how's Antartica? Whats the average temperature there in this time of season?

How much free time do you get to just play around down there (and what do you do)? Well, I know this is something you really want to do and technically just being down there is you free time, but what do you do when you aren't doing research stuff?

To answer your questions about weather, look at the post that I left titled weather, and also the journal entry for December 6, 2007.  There were lots of questions so I thought I would address it all at once.  As for free time, so far I have been responding to these.  We also take extremely long food breaks.  In some cases a meal can last over an hour, and let me tell you, it feels great, especially after you've been working outside all day.  I also try and keep up on world news and read.  There are TVs here, with movie channels that I have yet to sit down and enjoy.  No worries though.  Things here are quite good!Cheers,~Gillette
