Hey Gillette!

I bet your flight was long and hard. Did you find any new/weird cultures while you were in New Zealand? {spelling?}

Have fun, and take tons of pictures! Laughing

The flights really weren't too bad. As far as culture goes, we did meet a few other people headed to the ice that were from New Zealand. The biggest different I noticed was both in the way they talk, and the words they use. There is a slight accent with some of them, others are very hard to understand with a very thick accent. Then the words. Something we might call a cookie is called a biscuit. A pitcher is called a jug. And instead of saying bye or see ya or later or whatever, they say cheers. I kind of like it.Cheers,~Gillette
