Antarctic Ice Sheet Studies

What kind of vehicles did you take to to the ice? Do you have blue FDX boots and a red parka?

Hi Sam!  We took a variety of vehicles onto the ice from regular vans with some extra large wheels to 'Ivan' the Terra Bus, Piston Bully's, snow mobiles, pickup trucks and probably others.We also did have the "Big Red" parkas and the blue FDX boots.  We used those over the bunny boots because they are warmer.  The drawback is that they have a tendancy to absorb water, which when its that's cold, isn't a good thing.
