Mr. Gillette,

Thanks for responding to our questions yesterday.  We are glad that you are surviving the elements.

After the storm yesterday, were you able to build a snowman with the ice?  How long did the storm last?

How does your sleeping bag smell?  What kind of sleeping bag do you have that makes it get so warm?  When you are in your tent, do you stay in the sleeping bag the entire time?  Do you ever get over-heated in your sleeping bag?

Have you seen any animals?  We know you haven't seen penguins.

We are excited for you to return.

The elements have slowly improved after a nearly three day storm.  The camp staff that has been down here since late August has said that this is the worst storm of the season!  The sleeping bag doesn't smell, yet.  It helps that our noses are frozen and you can't really smell anything anyway.  :)  I'm not sure the exact type of sleeping bag but you can find similar ones at places like Cabela's or REI.  They are very fluffy down body bag sorts of things.  In the tent the only time we're not in the sleeping bags are when we're peeling off the layers of clothes that have been keeping us warm all day.  There is a chance to get over-heated, if that's the case we just take off a layer of clothes.  The key after that though is to keep that extra layer in the sleeping bag so it stays warm during the night.  It's no fun putting on freezing cold clothes in the morning!  Still no animals, and we won't see any here at WAIS, not even birds!  :(Cheers,~Gillette
