We are not studying a volcano, however, there are people here that are.  McMurdo is located on Ross Island, which is a volcanic island, home to Mt. Erebus and Mt. Terror.  Yes, a lovely name for a volcano, I know.  There is a great picture of Erebus in the photo gallery that you should check out.  You can see the steam vent very clearly at the top of the mountain.Cheers,~Gillette
