How are you doing, Mr.Gillette? I just want to know, what do you eat down at antarctica? What kind of stuff you do?

Brandon Gillette

Good question, I just want to encourage you to check some of the other posts in the future in case someone else has already asked it.  Food is a very popular question, as it should be.  We have to eat to survive.  There is a cafeteria here on station that serves four meals a day.  Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and mid rats, or midnight rations.  Mid rats is for those people that work nights, its kind of their lunch, or for those that are just up at night and want something to eat.  It really is pretty good, but typical cafeteria food. What have we been doing?  So far just working outside a lot and making sure we have stuff ready for the field.  There is a lot of prep work that goes to being in the field for 6 weeks.  While I won't be out there that long, the rest of the team will and they are going to need lots of equipment, and all that has to be inventoried!  Needless to say, it's take all of us, and a lot of time.
Cheers,~Gillette
