Brandon - Hi...this is Steve at CReSIS and we're watching the team's progress with interest.  What have been your biggest surprises so far?  How were your expectations realized with what you found upon arrival in Antarctica?

Hello Steve,Things here are going very well. We made it to WAIS on Tuesday and are now trying to stay warm! The biggest surprise so far is how modern everything is. We are sleeping in Scott tents here at WAIS, but with some work such as shoveling snow, we can have hot showers! There are some great cooks down here and we're eating quite well!
Expectations have been far exceeded since stepping foot down here. The most amazing feeling is walking out past tent city here at WAIS and looking into the nothing! A frozen ocean as far as the eye can see, and then some! So peaceful! I hope things are going well back in the states and that you're all staying warm as well!
Cheers,
~Brandon
