Congratulations Team SCINI! Holy buckets - 685 feet - I can't wait to see the photos of what SCINI saw down there. And glad the women in Antarctica are enjoying drilling those 5" diameter holes! I'm enjoying living vicariously with you through your great journal!

Hi Mindy,
Without navigation we were on the bottom for less than a minute, so please be a little patient until we have a bit more time to get some good images to send.  We were quite happy that the ice was only 10 ft thick and sicne it was also a windless warm day, enjoyed drilling the hopes very much!  We wish you were here with us too!

Hi Mindy -
Antarctica is everything that you said it would be and more.  Every day is new and exciting.  I feel so fortunate to have this opportunity to be part of an awesome research team and to experience the magic that is Antarctica.
I'm glad that you are enjoying the journals.  I am trying to record every moment so that I can remember this fabulous experience.
Well, I better get back to work.  You know how it is.
