Hi Frankie -
I would definitely swim with a polar bear if I had a chance.  They are soooo cute but to be honest they are very, very dangerous.  I might want to swim with them but it wouldn't be a very smart idea.
Unfortunately, they do not have any polar bears in Antarctica.  However, they do have penguins and seals.  I hope that I get to see both of these types of animals when I go to Antarctica in November.  If I do, then I will definitely put a picture on my journal.
Thanks for writing to me and I hope that you will do it again.

Hi Frankie,
We are lucky that there aren't polar bears in the Antarctic.  That is one of the big differences between the Antarctic and the Arctic.  And we are also lucky that we DO have penguins in the Antarctic - there are no penguins in the Arctic.  What do you think would happen if polar bears and penguins lived in the same place?

You are so right Frankie!
Here in Antarctica all the penguins have to worry about is being eaten by killer whales or leopard seals.
