Hello Cameo,

I just want to know how do you and your team feel travelin so far away? Also im intrested like lookin forward to writing to you like twice a week if you cool with it but yeah im cool with it. Also my name is Andrea Boyd and im from Flagstaff, Arizona but yeah anywayz i gotz to go so yeah later....

Hi Andrea -I love to travel and I have wanted to visit Antarctica for a long time.  It is far away and the trip will be long but I can't wait to go.  I know that the other members of the team are just as excited to go to Antarctica.  It is definitely a chance of a lifetime.
I am totally cool with you writing to me in Antarctica.  Talk to you soon.

      Hey whats up cameo it was nice hearing from you but yeah i was a little excited i heard from you so yeah i just said that twice hahahaha funny but yeah everythings good here where im at but yeah is everything good where you are? but thats good if you love to travel me i do to but not all the time just like every once in a good while but this weekend i might be going to el paso but yeah anywayz i gots to go okay bye....... :) oh wait i have a question first are you, will you miss your family when you go antartica?

Hi Andrea -I was excited that you wrote me again.  When I get excited I talk very fast but since I am typing on the computer I guess I will just type real fast.   I hope that you get to go to El Paso.  I love Texas and in fact I was born in Dallas.
To answer your question, I will miss my family when I go to Antarctica.  I think it is a little easier for me because I already live away from my family.  My mom and my sisters live in Baltimore, Maryland (4 hours away by car) and my dad lives near Charlottesville, Virginia on top of a mountain (3 hours away by car).  I also have four cats (I know that is a lot of cats but they are all sort of rescued cats) and I will miss them too.
I hope you have a great weekend and I can't wait to talk to you again.

   Well yeah i had a great time hahaha because i watched "House Bunny" down at the theater but i was {sad}  cuz we left saturday night cuz i didnt want to go but yeah im so happy once again to hear from you {no joke} but yeah its cool you been to dallas, texas i've been to dallas alot so anywayz so what did you do over the weekend?????? you already know what i did but yeah how are you? im good now but i have no clue what to say but right now i got to go so yeah i hope to hear from you again!!!!!!

Hi Andrea -I'm sorry that I didn't write back sooner but I had a little computer trouble.
I'm glad you had a good time this weekend.  I saw the ads for "House Bunny" and it looks like it is really funny.  Was it?
I had a pretty low key weekend.  I had to do a lot of paperwork and some things to get ready for my trip to Antarctica.  However, I have to admit that sitting on my back deck and doing work is pretty enjoyable.  I live at the beach and I can see the water.  If you read my journal entry dated April 21st, then you will see a picture from my home.  It really is nice.  What does it look like where you live?
I am really glad that you are writing to me.  I better go and feed my cats.  Talk to you soon.

   HI CAMEO!!!!
   hmmm yeah hehe house bunny was soo halorius i couldnt stop laughing on some parts but yeah i seen it with my best freind liz and my other friend kristy so yeah i think you should watch it it is pretty good comedy movie!!!!  so yeah um over here looks like a forest hehehe just kidding its pretty neat like alot of trees and umm what else like one time i saw the sky it was like pink n blue mixed together it was soo pretty hehe so yeah i am sorry i didnt reply back as fast so yeah how have you been? anything intresting you want to do? but yeah this weekend i might just stay home and just go to school and i might probalbly go to my friend 16th birthday party so yeah thats what im doing all week so yeah im gonna be busy but yeah like right now i have to go so i cant wait to hear from you again!!!!!     so yeah bye cameo

Hi Andrea -Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner but I have been a bit sick.  I really appreciate you writing to me. 
Antarctica is the coldest continent on the planet.  Once it was

-129⁰F which is the coldest temperature ever recorded in the world.  Hopefully, it won't be that cold.  In fact, I will be going during the summer season for Antarctica and the average temperature is

20⁰F .   That is still very cold and I will need special clothing.  Remember, I live in Virginia which is in the southern United States and we hardly ever see snow.  There are places in Antarctica that the snow never melts.  I can't wait to see it.    
If you have more questions, then please feel free to start a new question.  I really enjoy reading your posts and I think you ask great questions.

Hi Andrea and Cameo,The new folks on the team just got back from Happy Campers School (survival training) and they spent the night out at minus 20 degrees (F)!  They all did fine but are happy to be back in the warm lab.
