have any on died down there? ITS Kimberly-Anne K.

Stacy Kim

Hi Kimberly-Anne,People die in Antarctica just as they die in other places. We all
have to pass a physical exam, so we are healthy when we go down, but
accidents can happen. One of the clubs at McMurdo is named in honor
of a man who worked in Antarctica for a long time and died a natural
death there - Gallagers. And the most famous death is likely Robert
Scott's South Pole party, who died in their tent trying to get back
from the Pole. The were trapped by a storm and could not reach their
food and fuel cache.
Best, Stacy
