Do you ever go ice fishing while your there?If so what kinds do you catch?:)

Good question as it seems like the ideal place for "ice" fishing. But, no fishing allowed! All living creatures above and below ice are protected by the Antarctic Treaty. Over 40 nations have agreed to abide by the terms of this treaty--we are one--and part of it states that humans can do NOTHING that would otherwise interfere with the natural behavior of the animal. So, no fishing, no trying to pet curious penguins, etc.
