Hi Kimberly-Anne,
There is no Antarctic flag. Antarctica does not belong to any one
nation, it is governed by an international treaty that sets it aside
for peaceful research purposes only. Many nations have research bases
there, and McMurdo is a US base. Three kilometers away is Scott Base,
which is New Zealand, and there is also an Italian base at Terra Nova
Bay a few hundred kms from McMurdo. 45 nations have signed the
Antarctic Treaty and it is one of the best examples of successful
international cooperation around.
Best, Stacy

Great question Kim! Isn't it cool that 45 different countries can come together and work together?? You guys will be making "dream flags" that will be going with me and will fly in Antarctica. We'll start that project soon!Mrs. Cross
